February Meeting

February's meeting was on a cold, cold night but quite a few of the guild members still turned out.  Much better than last February when the meeting had to be cancelled because of the snowy weather.  Last night we all pitched in and put together the giveaways for our quilt show that will be coming up this spring.  In this photo, the quilt shown (I think I'm right - if not, someone please comment and set me straight) is the Mystery Quilt that some of our members are making.
Our show and tell had some lovely quilts.  Here is another of the paperpieced wallhangings from Linda's class last fall.  So pretty.  I am not putting names of the quilters because I am unsure of some and I don't want to guess and put a wrong name up.  Don't forget, girls, that I am really, really old!!
A beautiful pineapple quilt!

This is gorgeous - I am so sorry I didn't get a good clear shot of this one.  You can tell, though, that it is wonderful.

A stunning quilt - a panel in the middle and wonderful piecing all around.  Beautiful.
What a lovely Christmas tree hanging!
And here is a "Fun and Done" from the class of the same name.  The colors are wonderful.  We do have a guild filled with very talented quilters.

Our meeting was rather short last evening - the main part of the program was to get the giveaways done and it's a case of many hands make short work or something like that!   There will be two more meetings before our quilt show - it will be coming up before we know it.  Have you filled out your forms for the quilts you are going to enter?   In with your February Newsletter is a pdf of the entry form that you can print out (one for each you intend to enter) and bring them along to the next guild meeting so they may be processed for the show.

I did not put up a slide show for this month since there weren't as many for show and tell.  I will take January's down but will leave the Christmas dinner photos up for awhile.

Stay warm out there!!  (Click to enlarge)
