We will be working on a landscape with trees. Jan will show ideas for tree placement, paths, or water and even animals in your scene. Fabric will be shredded with the rotary cutter and sprinkled over trees for leaf effect. The project is covered with tulle and free-motion stitched to hold down shredded fabric. Jan uses Superior monopoly clear thread for free-motion sewing. You must have some experience with free motion, but you don’t have to be perfect. Free motion foot is required. Know how your own machine works with free motion. A good size to work on for this class is fat quarter size for background, batting and backing. List of supplies needed are listed below. Jan will have a kit available for purchase of the supplies needed for $20.
