Sewing Room Safety

One of our Guild members reminded us at this month's meeting just how important it is to make sure your Sewing Room is safe for visitors (especially pets and children). She had to take her dog for surgery because of an item "swallowed"! I found this article on the web you might want to review for tips to ensure no "accidents" occur as a result of hazards in you sewing area. Some key things to think about:
- Pins and Needles on the floor
- Cutting tools left out
- Disposal of sharp items (think Rotary Blades!)
- Use of tools like Irons and Glue Guns that can cause burns
- Putting items away when you leave your room

If you have ideas please share with your fellow Guild members. And remember that hazards can happen anywhere - so stay safe!
