I like inexpensive irons that shut themselves off when left on too long. They tend to be knocked off the ironing board too often to spend much on one, especially when my cat was around. The Black and Decker one I had still worked after it hit the ground several times. It was one with a retractable cord which made it a bit more top heavy so it was even easier to knock off. At least it was sturdier than most.
I agree with Cassie...inexpensive ones...I bought 3 when family dollar went out on M-20...they don't bounce well.Jackie
I splurged on an Osilo' Pro with I-touch technology.. it cost $160, but always is down so can't fall off to the floor .It sits flat up on 4 little legs when You reach over to pick up to use the legs go up.. when you sit it down flat and release your hand it pops up on it's legs again. it has a 30 minute shut-off and a very, very long cord. They also make 2 others that are less money.. I got mine( yellow) a Nancy's Notion' Website which cost the same as Keepsake Quilts ( theirs are Pink).. I'm not sure if JoAnns has or not, maybe on their Website? Probably can order from Material Mart or Park Bench if they don't carry... My iron is worth every penny as I too have dropped an iron or 2...
I meant Nancy's Notions. look it up on their website
