You may remember the charity quilts we worked on based on a pattern from Australia. At the time they had horrendous bush fires there, and we thought we could contibute by making blocks and sending them to a gal who was working on making quilts from them.
Well...it was cost prohibitive to send so we decided to use the blocks and make twin size quilts for Shelter House.
Four quilts were completed and I will be taking them over to Shelter House in the next few days. THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to this activity
Unfortunately, this was not the easiest of quilts to make (as everyone who was involved can attest to). 
...unsure what is happening 
...maybe scared or upset
...needing some kind of comfort to get them through a rough patch.
Imagine that child receiving one of these wonderful quilts..
...from a stranger
...willing to share their talents to make something beautiful
...to help make things less scarey, less upsetting. 
That's what I love about our Guild - the kindness members bring through their generous spirit. Last meeting nine bright and colorful quilts were given to me to donate where needed most. The person who did this will remain anonymous (which I think she would appreciate) - but a big THANK YOU on behalf of that little child. Your gift is very much appreciated.
